Oatman Storm. This view features one of the old motels in town when Oatman was in it’s hey-day. I love capturing stormy skies with a bit of light that displays a dramatic feel for the setting, and this one captures it. The storm clouds looming above Oatman add to the eerie atmosphere of the scene. Looking at this photo, you can’t help but wonder about the people who live in it now and those that lived here 100 years ago. What dreams did they have, and what led them to this place in the desert? Was it just the thoughts of prosperity that the gold could bring or something else?
